MASS EFFECT 3 IS 40 HOURS LONG WITH MORE THAN 90 MINUTES OF CUT-SCENES

According to the review published by the German gaming magazine Gamestar, the newly released RPG by BioWare is 40 hours long and has 90 minutes worth of cut-scenes. The review further adds that there are more than 100 scenes, conversations and/or events change depending on our choices after importing a save-game from ME2- from something small like someone thanking us for completing a mission to bigger repercussions which would be to spoilerous to write down- you are definitely going to feel the consequences, and not always like them.

As much as BioWare tried to make ME3 easy enough for any new players of the franchise for them to play the game without having the need of playing the previous entries, they failed. It is recommended that anybody who is new to the whole world of Mass Effect should play the previous two entries of the series in order to understand the world of Shepard better. Although, they BioWare was successful to some extent for making the game enjoyable for newcomers.

The review states it’s a little inconsistent visually due to “the low polycount, lack of detail and low texture resolution”. Fortunately “the characters are well animated and modeled… and the overall look, despite its age, is quite moody”.

The game very much feels like ME1. Strong grip over the story, great action and impeccable sound effects and dynamic soundtrack gives the game an extra edge over the previous entries.
